Memories of Love: Psychic Tarot

Memories of Love: Psychic Tarot

Memories of Love - Psychic TarotMemories of Love is a card that is connected to nostalgia and childhood memories

Memories of Love, is the card I have drawn today from the The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 6th card of the suit emotion from the Minor Arcana.  This card is equivalent to the 6 of cups, in a traditional tarot spread.

The number 6 represents: harmony, appreciation, self-sacrifice, loyalty, responsibility, nurturing, creativity, love, mediation.

The green border which represents the emotion suit symbolises: love, health, balance, compassion, a nurturing nature, and abundance. It calms and refreshes your energy. It is the colour associated with the heart chakra.

When you see Memories of Love, it is all about nostalgia, trust and innocence. You may find yourself walking down memory lane at this time as it hearkens back to a simpler time, without those complications that seem ever present now. During times of sadness or despair you can take comfort from familiar places and old friends and family. You crave security as you have coped with enough change for the moment.

Memories of your past can flood in to your present

For some reason or other, the past is significant in your life right now and you must ask yourself why. It may be due to your current situation not bringing you the security or happiness you seek. If you were happy in the past, then you could be yearning for the old days and how things used to be.

These memories may reflect aspects of your life that have since vanished. So reminiscing about your past can bring you pleasure. However, if there is some unhealed aspect to your past, then it could still be causing you pain. You need to heal and find emotional stability, so accept any offers of help that come your way without feeling guilty about imposing. It will soon pass and you will feel stronger, healthier and more balanced.

Memories of Love can also point to your inner child and suggests a need to experience childlike joy. The child you were still lives within it and must be cared for. This is often referred to as working with your inner child. People with persistent problems such as addiction, depression, troubled relationships and chronic dissatisfaction can transform their lives with inner child work and find a new joy and energy in living.

Sometimes, by looking into your past, you may find the answer or solution you seek. You may feel the need, or crave, to be looked after and cared for by others. Being cared for is wonderful but eventually this very security will become claustrophobic and restricting.

In regards to relationship, Memories of Love can represent a relationship with someone from your past or an old sweetheart. If you’re looking for love, then you may find it in your old home town or on a trip back home. The love of your life may even be living next door or at the least not very far away.  The number Six can also highlight a past love interfering or causing issues in your current relationship.

The Memories of Love asks you to count your blessings and be grateful for what you have now, rather than lament over what you have left behind.

“It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”
